LET’S PRESERVE OUR CITY

A Proven Leader for South Miami City Commission

Dear Neighbor,

South Miami is a small city facing big city issues, such as increased density, overdevelopment, and traffic congestion. As your candidate, my commitment is to preserve and safeguard our quality of life. I will restore transparency in our local government, listen to your concerns, and work with you to recapture our unique small town vibe.

I am a proven leader who served the City as Commissioner and Vice Mayor from 2004 to 2012. It will be my honor to work with you to rekindle the spirit of South Miami’s motto, “The City of Pleasant Living.” In my eight years on the dais, I helped usher in numerous achievements for the residents of our City. By uniting our community and working together for common goals, we can move South Miami into the future while preserving our family-friendly community.

As your Commissioner I will:

·  Work to improve the City’s residential character

·  Support responsible and reasonable growth

·  Work to decrease traffic intrusion in our residential neighborhoods

·  Advocate for affordable housing

·  Safeguard our City’s financial resources

·  Find workable solutions to revitalize South Miami’s business district

·  Foster family-oriented and educational activities for our children

South Miami has been home to me and my family for 28 years. In addition to my terms of office, I have served on numerous City, County, and professional boards. I am a retired school teacher, published author, and certified Life Coach.

Contact me with your concerns and issues about our City.
